Community Opportunity Center

Communiity Opportunity Center has been in existence for over 50 years bringing housing to persons with a developmental disability. Some 80 residents are served in the communities of Plymouth, Livonia, Redford, and Garden City. Lots of added expense has been incurred because of Covid with keeping the residents well and safe. Staff have been very caring, but the labor market is very tight, especially for the lower paying jobs. The $1,000 from Community Financial will go a long way in helping COC keep the homes in good condition and continuing to provide good, caring staff.

I have been a volunteer with COC most of the time of its existence, and I know funds are well spent to provide housing and care for those very vulnerable persons in our area. Thank you for your consideration.

*Nominees must be a 501(c)(3) organization, associated with an accredited educational institution or a recognized community support organization serving the communities within Community Financial's field of membership. Entries will be reviewed by a panel of Community Financial team members and will be awarded based upon the judges own evaluation and discretion. All decisions of the panel are final.
