Metro Detroit Share

When my son Charlie was stillborn last year, Metro Detroit Share was there for us with every step. From donating the Caring Cradle that allowed us to spend time with him in the hospital, assembling and donating the memory box we received in the hospital that now holds our dearest keepsakes, to monthly support group meetings that have connected us with other loss parents and guided us through our grief. Metro Detroit Share has a goal to equip every hospital in Michigan with Caring Cradles to give families the gift of time with their precious babies. In December, Share assembled 500 memory boxes that have already been distributed and we already need to make more. They also provide funeral assistance, early pregnancy loss bags, and host an annual Walk for Remembrance and Hope free of charge. This organization is helping people when they need it most: when their baby dies.
