It is tricky for rural nonprofits to build capacity around justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI). $1000 would be a booster shot for our JEDI initiative. Motivating us dig deep and give us the ability to this vulnerable work. These dollars would foster capacity to ask crucial questions like?
• As a leading nonprofit in Otsego County, how are we sharing our commitment to JEDI so that others will too?
• What are creative ways that other small nonprofits like us can change their culture too, to foster JEDI in a rural community?
OCUW’s decision to focus internally on JEDI came amid years of intense organizational conversations. These conversations revealed, we have much to learn. Monies to support these efforts would be an incredible gift. Both staff and board members are driven to undertake JEDI work, with a desire to share knowledge with our community.
