Tinkergarden is a new program In northern Michigan that takes education to a whole new level. Tinkergarden takes the classroom to the outdoors. Children learn about nature, bugs, trees and animals, while learning to interact with each other at an early age. Tinkergarden uses a hands off approach that let's the children learn and explore at their own pace and without the boundaries of a classroom. The classes are for Pre K aged Kids, classes are generally held for an hour a day once a week for 12 weeks. Each session is focused around a season, so fall spring summer and winter sessions. Brooklyn Martin is the instructor and pays for everything out of pocket. The money would go a long way to helping her plan out educational activities for our youth.
