Going into high school, I had no clue where I was going in life, or what I enjoyed. After some light persuasion from my parents, I decided to give the robotics team (Lightning Robotics) a shot, not expecting it to turn into much. Instead of just being a two hour commitment every week, though, it became the thing I was most passionate about. I was quickly inducted into the Lightning family, and found myself surrounded by a group of people with the same interests, constantly pushing me to be better and learn more. Because of this, I discovered that I have a love for engineering, and I don't think I would have figured that out so early without the team. With $1,000, the P-CEP robotics team could invest in new tools to build the robot, in order to teach a wider variety of skills to incoming students.
