88.1 the Park

88.1 the Park, the student radio station for the Plymouth-Canton Community Schools, is celebrating 50 years of using local radio to impact the lives of youth and serve the community.

We partnered with the Plymouth Historical Museum to present an exhibit exploring the history of communication in Plymouth, including a spotlight on 88.1 the Park. This summer we will sponsor the Penn Theatre's Film Series. In the Fall we are teaming with the Michigan Philharmonic to present their Halloween Show on 88.1, live from Plymouth Arts and Recreation Complex. We will also celebrate the station's 50th year with an alumni reunion at Schoolcraft College.

The station's dedication was recognized with the Michigan Association of Broadcasters High School Station of the Year Award for the fifth year in-a-row. But we are most proud of being the communities source for Plymouth and Canton's Hit Music.

*Nominees must be a 501(c)(3) organization, associated with an accredited educational institution or a recognized community support organization serving the communities within Community Financial's field of membership. Entries will be reviewed by a panel of Community Financial team members and will be awarded based upon the judges own evaluation and discretion. All decisions of the panel are final.
