Keep an eye on your mailbox because a new Community Financial credit card with enhanced functionality and improved security is coming your way soon! We are committed to making this transition as smooth as possible. Below you’ll find all the necessary information about the conversion and activation process. We’re excited to bring you new credit cards.

How do I activate my card?

If you’d like a hand activating your card, we’re here for you! (Even on Sunday the 19th!)

• Call the Community Financial Care Center at 877-937-2328. We will have additional folks available from 9am-3pm on May 19 to help with credit card activations.
• Visit a branch! In addition to our regular hours, team members will be ready to assist you with card activations in person from 10am-3pm on Sunday, May 19 at our Wixom, Plymouth, Livonia 7 Mile, Atlanta and Gaylord Main branches. Services will be limited to card support only, no cash transactions.

NOTE! Your old Community Financial card will be deactivated on May 19 around 3am. You will need to activate your new credit card after 7am on May 19th to avoid service interruptions.

What about my Rewards?

We got you. Your currently earned rewards are safe and you’ll continue earning even better rewards with our new Community Financial credit cards. That said, to give you new features and an even better experience, there will be a short blackout period for the Mastercard™ rewards program. Here are some important things to know ahead of time: 

• Good news! Members will continue earning points during this time. 
• However, points will not be able to be redeemed from May 14, 2024 to mid-July, 2024.

Change can be grizzly. Bear with us.

As we rollout great new services and features for your awesome new credit card, some of current services may be temporarily unavailable. We hope it doesn’t cause you too much of an inconvenience, which is just another reason why we’re thanking you with the new card activation bonus mentioned above. Please keep an eye out for possible interruptions: 

• Digital banking features connected to credit cards, such as payments, will not be available for use 5/16 thru 5/19. We expect these services to be available again on 5/20.
• Starting 5/16, draw pay will no longer be available as a digital service. Draw pay will only be available at ATM or branch going forward.
• We will not be able to provide instant issue credit cards during the week prior to activation. In case of lost, stolen or new cards (or any account changes) members will receive their card via 2-day shipping by 5/23.
• If you have made a purchase on your old card before 5/19 that you would like to return on 5/19 or later, please ask the merchant to make the return to your new card. Your old card will no longer be available.

* This offer is available to existing and new Platinum Rewards, World Mastercard and Business cardholders who use their card 10 times for purchases from May 19, 2024 through June 30, 2024. Cardholder must not be delinquent on their Community Financial credit card loans to qualify. Bonus points will be applied by August 31, 2024.
