Otsego County Food Pantry

Wow, 2020 was quite a year for the OCFP and it continues into 2021. We are serving record numbers of people at the pantry and through our school backpack program that sends nearly 500 bags of food home with needy students who are learning in-class and remotely.
We have no paid staff, we are 100% volunteer organization. We rely totally on donations and grants to do what we do "feed people". Our overheard is kept to a bare minimum. We purchase mainly government subsidized which helps keep our cost down.
A $1,000 donation would be spent wisely! Thank you!
Thomas Edison Elementary

Our elementary school is working to begin a sensory room for our students to use. There are many benefits to having a sensory room available to elementary students. Some of these include developing fine and gross motor skills, increase ability to concentrate and mental and physical calmness. $1000 would give us the chance to include some amazing items that would benefit our whole school community.
Do You See Us Now

Do You See Us Now (DYSUN) was born from a need to educate our community on the devastating effects of distracted driving. Formed in 2018, by two friends, one in the motorcycle financing world and the other, a paramedic that was tired of going home with horrific images of accidents in her mind that could and should have been avoided simply by putting their cell phone away in the car. We adopt a family each year that has been forever impacted by distracted driving. We also adopt another non-profit organization to help continue our efforts. This year we chose Foundation 14 who works with veterans to get them back in the saddle of a customized motorcycle. We have worked tirelessly to raise awareness and continue to support our communities. This grant would go a lot way towards these efforts! Thank you, Community Financial, for supporting local!
