Five Points of Hope
Five Points of Hope (FPOH) is a Milford-based nonprofit dedicated to providing financial assistance to Michigan residents as they cope with the diagnosis of cancer. The mission of Five Points of Hope is to help and celebrate the on-going courage of those battling the disease.

FPOH works with licensed social workers who nominate individuals for grants up to $500. When awarded, the grant money is managed and distributed by FPOH to ensure the funds are put to the best use possible. This could be for assistance with the cost of medication, rent, bills, or any other cancer-related care. FPOH is a 100% volunteer-based organization, which ensures that the funds raised go directly to cancer patients and their families.

Lewiston 50 Plus Club
The Lewiston 50+ Club is located in Lewiston and serves as the community's Senior Center. The club offers services, education, and events for seniors. Meals are provided through the Montmorency County on Aging four days a week, as well as fundraisers, bingo, euchre tournaments, and exercise aerobics.

Funds are currently needed to help purchase a new furnace and to make other necessary repairs to the building.

Love Runs
Love Runs is an organization based in Plymouth that brings the community together to fight against human trafficking. The team is made up of 450 runners and walkers that live and work in the community, who raise awareness and funds by running marathons.

Human trafficking is not just a global issue; itís also a local issue. Thatís why all dollars raised by Love Runs will stay in Metro Detroit. Safe housing, victim services, building and increasing capacity for adult victims, expanding street outreach in Detroit, and educational and vocational training are just some of the initiatives that Love Runs will be funding. Love Runs uses funds to help in the prevention of human trafficking, and the rescue and restoration of its victims.

New Hope Center for Grief Support
New Hope Center for Grief Support in Northville supports people experiencing the loss of a loved one due to death, including: spouses, children, parents, siblings, friends or any other loved one. They offer ongoing support groups based on age, and/or loss specific groups where participants can share their story with others who have suffered a similar loss.

New Hope Center for Grief Support is funded primarily through private donations and fundraising events. New Hope receives no state or federal funding and does not charge a fee for any of its services to individuals.

Plymouth-Canton Community Literacy Council
The Plymouth-Canton Community Literacy Council is a volunteer-based nonprofit that aims to improve adult literacy in Plymouth-Canton and the surrounding areas of Western Wayne County. Its mission is to provide adults who have limited English language abilities, with vital reading, writing, and communication skills, to help them participate in the community and reach their potential in life.

The group primarily serves adults who speak English as a second language. The Plymouth-Canton Community School District has over 800 ESL students and while the students receive support from the schools, their parents can be isolated because of their lack of English comprehension. Funds are needed to support this program and to provide future tutor training.
