Autism Alliance of Michigan (AAoM)

Having twin boys with autism, the AAoM has helped my and many other families find the vital services needed. Through their four pillars (Navigation, Education, Independent Living and Employment), they work with individuals, schools, companies, law enforcement, local/state government, etc. to create an inclusive and safe environment for this vulnerable population in Michigan. The AAoM created a MiNavigator hotline for families with questions as well as ongoing workshops throughout the state. They provide GPS devices for children with autism who could get lost and train caregivers, professionals, and law enforcement on how to help people with the disorder. As 95+% of adults with autism cannot find employment, they work with companies to improve this and create an inclusive and safe environment. Please consider helping the 100,000+ people in Michigan affected by autism and support the AAoM. More information can be found at aaomi.org.
