Distinguished Young Women of Wayne County

Distinguished Young Women of Wayne County is a national scholarship program that inspires high school girls to develop their full, individual potential through a fun, transformative experience. Students in the program seek to earn Cash Scholarships for their college or post-secondary education, either at a college or university or vocational or trade school programs. In addition, we offer Life Skills Programs that focus on developing life learning skills such as Interviewing, Public Speaking, Self-Confidence Building and more. Our Program also seeks to encourage community outreach through the "Be Your Best Self" Program where participants are encouraged to reach out to local elementary and middle school students to educate them on being healthy, studious, active, responsible and involved. Scholarship dollars are completely donation-based and made possible only through the generous donations of supporters and sponsors.

*Nominees must be a 501(c)(3) organization, associated with an accredited educational institution or a recognized community support organization serving the communities within Community Financial's field of membership. Entries will be reviewed by a panel of Community Financial team members and will be awarded based upon the judges own evaluation and discretion. All decisions of the panel are final.
