Southeast Michigan Land Conservancy

Southeast Michigan Land Conservancy conserves natural land and open space (including forests, wetlands, meadows and places of scenic beauty) throughout all of Southeast Michigan to provide habitat for wildlife and to enrich the lives of people. Anyone can visit SMLC's nature preserves, hike the trails and commune with nature. As a nature conservancy, SMLC will protect these lands forever, preventing them from being developed and ensuring we have natural areas for wildlife, for our own enjoyment and for the enjoyment of future generations. A gift of $1,000 could help SMLC with any of its many activities, such as: hosting public events like our annual bat count; scheduling a volunteer day to clean up a preserve; making improvements to the native plant and insect garden; or holding a full moon campfire. With 18 nature preserves in our region, there's probably one near you. Visit smlcland.org to find out more!
