Pearls of Great Price Coalition

Posted By: Carrie Wood (August 3, 2016)
Pearls of Great Price Coalition is a grassroots faith-based organization fighting human trafficking in our communities. There is not a zip code in America not affected by human trafficking. Our Coalition's focus is keeping children in our communities safe through our threefold focus of awareness, education and action. We make educational presentations anywhere, from small groups to colleges. Our current major action step is helping to prepare a 27 bed safe haven for rescued women and their children. Our group is renovating the dining room, including light fixtures, flooring, window treatments etc. to make it look more home-like than institutional. Located on Detroit's east side, women from across Southeast Michigan will be referred here. The two year program will provide social services, schooling, job training and life skills. Pearls of Great Price Coalition is a 501c3 through First United Methodist Church, Plymouth.
