A special thank you to everyone that told us what good you could do with $1,000! Our 6th annual Summer of Sharing campaign received 366 wonderful stories about the great work being done by charities, community and education groups in the cities around us.  Community Financial is proud to have donated $1,000 to the sixty-five organizations shown below.  Thank you all for the work you do to enrich our communities!

Camp Casey

Posted By: Molly Reeser (June 1, 2016)
Camp Casey is a nonprofit horseback riding program for children with cancer, sickle cell disease and aplastic anemia.

Our Horsey House Call program surprises local children with a knock on the door and a horse on their doorstep. Our Equine Therapist and volunteers stay for the afternoon to provide grooming lessons, rides, crafts, pizza and more for the children, their friends and family.

Horsey House Calls give families an opportunity to escape the world of cancer, if just for an afternoon, to have fun with their family and friends.

Each Horsey House Call visit costs Camp Casey $1000 and is 100% free to participants. Camp Casey plans to knock on 35 doors this summer.

A grant from the Community Financial Summer of Sharing would help spread the healing power of horses to a deserving local family.

Thank you for considering Camp Casey and for helping kids conquer cancer one "neigh" at a time!
