Norwayne Community Citizens Council

The Norwayne Community Citizens Council (NCCC), a non-profit organization, sponsors events in the historic Norwayne subdivision. Norwayne is also Westland's most economically challenged neighborhood. Annual NCCC events include backpack donations, Harvest Festival, Holiday Tree Lighting, Family Prom and Rosie Tea Luncheon.

The NCCC will host the back-to-school event for the Norwayne neighborhood on Friday, August 12. The event includes providing 250 backpacks filled with school supplies, dinner, activities and a movie night. Activities include Mad Science and outdoor board games like Twister, Jenga and Cornhole. There is no cost to attend the event. If selected for the Summer of Sharing program, NCCC will use the funds to off set the cost of the movie.

*Nominees must be a 501(c)(3) organization, associated with an accredited educational institution or a recognized community support organization serving the communities within Community Financial's field of membership. Entries will be reviewed by a panel of Community Financial team members and will be awarded based upon the judges own evaluation and discretion. All decisions of the panel are final.
