Patriot Golf Day Shootout

Posted By: Kevin McKinley (July 4, 2016)
Patriot Golf Day Shootout is a fundraising organization whose efforts culminate with a golf event at Treetops over Labor Day weekend that sees over 40 Military Veterans and/or Actives come together with their families to be honored with FREE golf, lodging and food all weekend long. In addition, the organization raises over $40,000 each year to be given to local and national charities that have something to do with men and women who serve our country. Charities that have benefited include Otsego County's VFW Building Fund, David Day Memorial Fund and the David Warsen Legacy Foundation. The biggest recipient of funds has been FOLDS OF HONOR FOUNDATION which provides educational scholarships for families of fallen or wounded soldiers. Several of these recipients reside in Michigan and will benefit or are benefiting from these scholarships in hopes to continue the legacy of their fallen or injured parent.
