A special thank you to everyone that told us what good you could do with $1,000! Our 6th annual Summer of Sharing campaign received 366 wonderful stories about the great work being done by charities, community and education groups in the cities around us.  Community Financial is proud to have donated $1,000 to the sixty-five organizations shown below.  Thank you all for the work you do to enrich our communities!

Mill Race Historic Village

Posted By: Carole Jean Stockhausen (June 28, 2016)
Mill Race Historic Village is located in downtown Northville and is run completely by Northville Historical Society volunteers. They maintain 10 buildings and the grounds, as well as, provide educational programs, archival services, historical displays and have interpretive docents in the buildings on Sundays from spring until fall.
The Village draws visitors from near and far and adds to the viability of the downtown business district.
Two of the buildings are in great need of new roofs. The end of the blacksmith building that houses the wagon is moss filled and rotting. If this is not repaired soon we will have to completely rebuild that structure. The other is the small Interurban Station that needs a new roof as well.
