OCCWA regularly provides infant safe sleep information to new parents and pack and plays to parents in Otsego County throughout the year. We would like to hold a BIG community event to provide infant safe sleep education and training to expectant parents, grandparents, babysitters and other caregivers to infants under 12 months old, and to give each parent or legal guardian of an infant who attends a pack and play and sleep sack. Our current funding does not allow for us to provide that much equipment at one time. This funding would mean a lot to us and would help us spread the word in Otsego County about the ABCs of infant safe sleep. There are still 3500 safe sleep related infant deaths each year in the US and we would like to help reach more parents to prevent these tragedies.

*Nominees must be a 501(c)(3) organization, associated with an accredited educational institution or a recognized community support organization serving the communities within Community Financial's field of membership. Entries will be reviewed by a panel of Community Financial team members and will be awarded based upon the judges own evaluation and discretion. All decisions of the panel are final.
