Lewiston Community Sharing

Community Sharing does so much good for the small, hardworking community of Lewiston in Northern Michigan. Two buildings; a large selection of donated clothing and household items for folks in need and also a food pantry. Their give-outs are where they really shine. Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas they provide a full spread for a holiday dinner (turkey or ham as well!). And Easter baskets fit for the Easter bunny himself. All carefully coordinated and assembled by tireless volunteers, some in their 80's and 90's. They also do outerwear give-outs for winter; as well as toys; and school backpacks with supplies. Mrs. Sansone, also helps allocate funds for those who have hit hard times and need utility bills or other bills paid. They are an asset to us and well deserving of this grant, which will go right back to helping needy families and folks.

*Nominees must be a 501(c)(3) organization, associated with an accredited educational institution or a recognized community support organization serving the communities within Community Financial's field of membership. Entries will be reviewed by a panel of Community Financial team members and will be awarded based upon the judges own evaluation and discretion. All decisions of the panel are final.
