The OCCOA is a social-services agency that helps area seniors with a wide range of services. Perhaps most critical is our Home-Delivered Meals (HDM) program. The HDM program benefits clients in several ways.
1. The clients’ nutritional plans help insure that they stay healthy while remaining at home.
2. The meals are an easy way to meet their nutritional needs, and it gives them something to look forward to each day.
3. Each client is visited multiple times/week by the delivery drivers, a smiling face who can check in on them.
The program is also a partnership between the OCCOA, Gaylord Area Schools (makes the meals), and Alpine LTT (delivers the meals), so program dollars remain in the community to help the economy. With $1,000, we can pay for the raw food, production, and delivery of two-days worth of deliveries, and approximately 120 people will benefit directly from your generosity.
