Angels of Hope
Posted By: Mounika Katta (September 2, 2021)
Angels of Hope, a local 100% volunteer nonprofit, provides critical support to Michigan families with children with cancer or cancer patients who have children. Angels of Hope’s mission is to alleviate some of the major stresses associated with cancer. Although it almost always goes unnoticed, families are oftentimes forced to make the difficult decision between paying bills and receiving the right treatment. However, Angels of Hope eases these burdens. Unlike similar cancer-based nonprofits focused on research, Angels of Hope supports families by providing grants to cover anything from gas to water bills to rent.
Treatment for cancer isn’t easy. It’s physically, mentally, and financially taxing. No parent should have to worry about bills while their child is sick.
As a young person myself, I know no matter whether a child is sick or healthy or impoverished, they should be able to live every day to its fullest.
Redline Youth Performance Ensemble
Posted By: Katie Hanka (August 31, 2021)
Redline is a youth music education non-profit based at the PARC (Plymouth Arts & Recreation Complex).
We provide two core programs. With Studio 313, we provide a multi-functional space for music lessons, recording, and recitals for all ages. Our other major program is Redline Percussion, a competitive theatrical percussion group which allows high school and college-aged students to create a unique show and travel the country to compete against other ensembles in their age group.
Throughout the year, these two programs offer various educational clinics and performances to the surrounding community!
Costs add up quickly for Redline between instruments, insurance, travel, and rehearsal facilities. In order to sustain the group and offset costs each year, members pay a fee in order to participate. However, this fee does not cover what is needed to support the group financially. Any charitable giving has a huge impact on our students! Thank you!
WAZA TRACK CLUB

Dear Selection Committee,
Please accept this nomination for WAZA Track Club for your Summer of Sharing award. The club has been a safe haven for our children. It has helped them remain active and practice with their friends, which has been especially helpful during COVID. All coaches volunteer their time on a daily basis to train our children, help build their confidence and create long lasting friendships. Their efforts have resulted in numerous state and national championships. Past athletes return regularly to volunteer and train younger athletes.
As a volunteer led non-profit program, we would greatly appreciate your award. It would help support our athletes in training and competitions.
Thank you for your consideration.
