Savings Accounts help you get off to a good financial start. They act as an emergency fund and give you peace of mind when used as overdraft protection to your checking account. While members have unlimited access at our branches, these accounts allows six electronic fund transfers (EFTs) per month. Your savings are federally insured to at least $250,000 by NCUA.

Basic Savings establishes membership in Community Financial. All members have access to this account that is attached to all checking and loans. Members can use ATMs and Internet Banking to make deposits and withdrawals. Many members also set up Basic Savings as overdraft protection on checking or auto payment on loans.

Super Saver is for members who keep over $1,000 balances in their savings account. It earns a higher rate of return, is accessible by ATM, Direct Dial 24, Internet Banking and can be set as overdraft for checking.

Goal-Setter Savings is designed to help members save for a specific goal like a down payment on a car or home. Members simply set a savings target, pick a timeframe of 2 to 5 years, then set up automatic monthly transfers into the account. During the duration of the savings period, members will earn a bonus rate as long monthly deposits are made and there are no withdrawals. Since this is a “forced” savings account there is no ATM, Direct Dial 24 or Internet Banking access.

Youth Savings are for members ages 0-20 there are no minimum balance requirements or fees so young members can watch their Basic Savings Account grow at our, branches, School Credit Unions or Online.
