How to join

To join, simply complete a New Member Application or visit your nearest Community Financial Location and open a Basic Savings Account.  To find out more about Community Financial visit any branch or call (734) 453-1200 or (877) 937-2328, toll free.

Who can join Community Financial?

Community Financial is a federally chartered credit union, serving persons who live, work, worship, volunteer, or attend school in, and businesses and other legal entities in the following Michigan communities: Plymouth, Canton, Northville, Novi, Montmorency County, Otsego County and Alpena County.

Also, any person who has an immediate family member who resides in Community Financial eligible communities (listed above) is also eligible for membership in the credit union. (Immediate family is defined as spouse, parent, child, sibling, grandparent.)

Finally, any person currently living in the same household with a member of Community Financial can join.

About Community Financial

We are a not-for-profit, full service financial institution owned and governed by its membership.  This cooperative provides members with competitive dividend rates on checking and savings accounts, as well as market driven loan rates.  Members also receive a high level of personal service, something not found at many financial institutions.

As a Community Financial member, you become an owner.  As an owner, you are entitled to vote in the annual election of the credit union Board of Directors.

Community Financial is federally chartered, with all members' accounts insured to $100,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the U.S. Government.
